“. . . all education must be unsound which
does not propose for itself some object; Our Mission We exist to glorify God by assisting parents in training their children through a Reformed, Christ-centered, classical education. Our Vision
We envision New Covenant Christian School graduates who have a Biblical worldview that encompasses all of life and who are equipped and eager to take their place as servant-leaders in the world. As classically educated men and women with a life-long love of learning, they possess broad knowledge, clear reasoning, true wisdom, and the ability to communicate truth persuasively. In every area of life, they recognize, appreciate, and spread truth, goodness, and beauty to the glory of God.
Our History
During that first year, we were very limited in space, just two classrooms in the church basement. When we added second grade during our second year, we had to build two classrooms in the back of our church’s sanctuary/multipurpose space. This accommodated us for the next two years, while the church added a new education wing to the building. In the fall of 2002, with the addition of fourth grade, we moved into the new wing. This yea, with the addition of ninth grade, we relocated our seventh through ninth grades to a new Upper School location at Calvary Baptist Church in Bel Air. With the merger of the school and the preschool in 2006, we now serve 241 students in grades Pre K through Nine. Our school has grown and developed in more ways than simply adding classroom space and students. We have broadened our school community to include families from all over Harford County. We have enriched our program to offer more service opportunities and more extracurricular activities. We have also continued to improve our academic program every year until it is one of the most rigorous in the area. Finally, and perhaps most importantly, we have continued to seek better ways of partnering with parents to make sure we are training up the whole child to live the whole of his life for the glory of God. We have adopted the slogan, “Sharpening minds. Shepherding hearts. Shaping lives.” to capture the heart of our school.
